On 14 June 2026, 37 youth belonging to the WELEAD Project gathered at Don Bosco Youth Village, Keeranur, for a meaningful programme aimed at promoting youth participation in supporting women leaders in local governance.
Mrs. Divya Suresh, former Panchayat President of Melaputhuvayal, shared her inspiring journey of leadership and encouraged the young participants to become active citizens and agents of social change. The programme highlighted the importance of equal political participation, democratic values, and youth involvement in building inclusive communities.
As rightly said, “The future depends on what you do today.” — Mahatma Gandhi. The programme reminded the youth that active participation in public life and support for inclusive leadership are essential for building a just and democratic society.
