organized an awareness programme on 2 August 2026 as part of the project “Empowering Rural Children and Youth as Young Green Champions for an Eco-Friendly and Sustainable Future.” A total of 25 youth (12 boys and 13 girls) participated in the programme. Rev. Fr. Vincent Thamburaj, SDB, Director of Green Champions Across India, conducted an interactive session on climate change, environmental protection and plastic pollution. Through questions, discussions and practical examples, participants reflected on their responsibility towards nature. The session highlighted sustainable alternatives to single-use plastics, tree planting and creating home gardens. The youth actively participated and expressed their commitment to adopting eco-friendly practices. The programme successfully inspired the participants to become Young Green Champions and promote environmental conservation in their families and communities.
