During the session, the participants learned about the nutritional requirements of farm animals, including the importance of providing balanced feed to maintain their health and growth. The resource person explained the need for additional nutrients, proteins, and grain concentrates during specific stages such as growth, lactation, and egg production. He also highlighted the importance of preventive healthcare, regular vaccination, and proper management practices to protect livestock from viral and bacterial infections.
The training enhanced the participants' knowledge of scientific animal husbandry practices and motivated them to explore livestock rearing as an additional source of income to improve their household economic conditions. As a token of encouragement, the participants were provided with hen chicks as complimentary gifts, inspiring them to put their learning into practice and develop small-scale poultry farming activities.
